Good News of Flights from Brussels to Alanya

51

Alanya, Turkey’s tourism capital, continues to be promoted in different parts of the world. The city’s tourism potential was recently showcased at the Salon Des Vacances tourism fair held in Brussels, Belgium.

The Salon Des Vacances fair, one of Europe’s leading tourism fairs, took place from February 1 to 4 this year. The fair brings together thousands of tourism professionals from all over the world every year. Adriana Johanna Lamers, who participated in the fair on behalf of the Alanya Tourism Promotion Foundation (ALTAV), said that Corendon will operate 6 flights a week from Brussels to Alanya-Gazipaşa Airport this year.

Sharing her impressions of the fair, Lamers said: “We saw the impact of the farmers’ strike in Brussels reflected in the fair. However, despite this, the occupancy rates in the Alanya and Antalya region are making the operators happy. Most businesses have reached their early booking targets and even exceeded them. One of the largest exhibition areas at Salon Des Vacances belonged to Corendon, and the company hosted 20 hotel groups from Turkey alone in this area. The best news for Alanya was the news that Corendon will operate 6 flights a week from Brussels to Gazipaşa-Alanya Airport in the 2024 season. This news will contribute to the region’s tourism being even more recognized internationally and to strengthening its position as a preferred holiday destination. Because although the Dutch know Turkey very well, it seems that the Belgians need more information about our country. There are especially obstacles that need to be overcome for those who can only speak French. We worked at the fair for 4 days to overcome these obstacles and promote our region and country to everyone.”
